A little something extra: Introducing our accessories collection

Examples of The Nose Bag linen bags

Every outfit has its punctuation mark. A little something that says “me”, even on the greyest of Mondays or muddiest of market days. That’s how this new accessories collection came about - out of a need for the final flourish, the wearable detail, the story you tie around your neck or sling over your shoulder.

We’ve put together a trio of accessories: necklaces, a hat, and a bag, each designed with the same hand-finished care, natural fibres, and nostalgic soul you’ve come to expect from An Acre of Land.

Take a wander through…

The Necklaces

Wooden. Weightless. Wonderfully wearable.

We’ve made four necklace designs—The Acorn, The Morse Code, The Gradient, and The Seed—each available in three earthy colourways (black, dark brown, and cream) to quietly co-ordinate with your existing Acre wardrobe.

Made from smooth mango wood and hand-threaded with the strongest cotton, they’re tactile and beautifully light—hanging at a long 66cm, perfect for layering or wearing solo. One (The Acorn) even has an adjustable string, for those who like to fiddle or fuss.

Designed to be worn alone or all at once

The S’Wester Hat

Big-headed and big-hearted.

This one has a story (don’t they all?). Born from a lifetime of struggling to find a hat that fits both head and soul, this is our answer: a cloth hat that’s somewhere between a fisherman’s S’wester and a Sunday bonnet, but entirely its own thing.

It’s playful to wear and deceptively clever to make, with a short brow (probably the front—but up to you), a long back, and a brim wide enough to feel breezy without being bossy.

And the best bit? If you’re part of our First Acres Founders membership (coming soon - make sure you’re signed up to our newsletters!), you’ll get the sewing pattern this Autumn/Winter, so you can make your own, add your own twist, and maybe even outdo us (please do).

The Nose Bag

Yes, like the horse one. But linen.

Back when grain sacks were floppy and French and a bit easier to come by, this was the bag we made. These days, we’ve recreated it using leftover linens from our dressmaking, buffalo leather for the strap, and our signature cotton lining inside (with a handy inner pocket so you’re not forever rummaging).

It’s sturdy, slouchy in the right places, and swings easily whether you’re heading to yoga, the greengrocer, or a brocante with big pockets.

The Final Thread

So that’s the new trio. Each piece made to add softness, strength, and a touch of the handmade to your daily rounds. They’re here to tell your story a little differently each time you wear them.

Happy layering, bag-slinging, and hat-jaunting.

With warmth,

Julia x
