The riding coat has a long history. Shaped to allow freedom of movement on horseback, longer at the back than the front, smart enough for arrival and practical enough for the journey. 

You will recognise it from every period drama you have ever loved. The Saddle Coat takes that silhouette and brings it firmly into the present. Perfect for galloping into the distance like a Victorian heroine.

Garment description

Cut from an indigo blue gingham cotton and lined with cream cotton, the Saddle Coat follows the traditional riding coat shape — shorter at the front, longer at the back, with a stand collar and buttons running the full length of the front. 

The cut gives the upper body shape and definition, while the longer back hem creates a sweep and movement that is immediately recognisable. A jacket for people who appreciate a garment with a history.
